"There's also this analogy that taking a device away from a child is like taking a crack pipe away from an addict..." Michael Bociurkiw
On this episode of LIFT, I talk to Michael Bociurkiw about his upcoming book, Digital Crack, which tells the story of our twenty-first century addiction to smartphones and social media.
He also shares details about his extraordinary career, his take on conscious leadership and business and how he deals with the stress of his day-to-day life.
Michael is a global affairs analyst, writer, speaker, and moderator who writes from a lifetime of experience of news-gathering in some of the most dangerous and difficult regions around the world.
His interview roster is impressive including prime ministers and presidents from a number of countries and he’s worked as an emergency spokesperson and communications expert with numerous relief organisations in more than fifteen countries affected by war and disaster.
Michael is a regular guest on BBC World, CNN International, Al Jazeera and Bloomberg and writes regularly for CNN Opinion. He is based between Canada, Portugal and London and I caught up with him ahead of his visit to France and the G-7 before heading out to Hong Kong.
