If you've ever wondered what kind of agency you have over your mental, emotional and physical health, you'll no doubt enjoy this Conversation on Camera with Dr Ronnie Stangler and Simon Lockett, Co-Founders of Genome Advisory.

Genome Advisory (GA) is the premier genomics consultancy, partnering with global families, family offices and enterprise. I often think of GA as the bridge between science and ordinary people like you and me and this relaxed conversation certainly doesn't disappoint!

We explored all things mental health, how to use epigenetics to optimise your wellbeing from the inside out, our biological clocks and how we can slow our rate of ageing and the power we have to make informed choices, which have a significant impact on the quality of our lives.

"With every thought, emotion and experience, you act as the epigenetic engineer of your cells, your body and your life." Ronnie Stangler, M.D.

We also talked about Dr Stangler's contribution to the Harvard Case Study: Genomics in the Family Office (details below), why organisations should be looking into this with more rigour, why ethics should be a forethought, not an afterthought and how the entire ecosystem of trusts, trustees, beneficiaries, governance, succession, estate planning, risk mitigation, security, privacy, legacy creation and philanthropy must be reconsidered in the context of genomics going forward.

Harvard Case Study: Genomics in the Family Office
Lauren H. Cohen, Ronnie Stangler, Spencer C. N. Hagist
In the late fall of 2020, Harvard Business School presented in its Executive Education Program for Family Offices the first case study of “Genomics in the Family Office”. The case profiled a prominent Israeli family challenged by a rare genetic disorder and addressed its impact on family dynamics, health planning, and philanthropic strategy. The novel concept of a Family Genomics Charter was introduced and served as stimulus for provocative group discussion. Purchase this case study here.
